Rubiks cube April

Rubik's cube solving is proven to infuse an abundance of benefits to cater to learner's development, mentally and cognitively. This course involves solving the Rubik’s cube and would be taught stage-wise. All the sessions would be interactive where the learners get a chance to learn the steps to solve the Rubik’s cube step-wise. The next step would be taught only when the learner is confident to solve the current step independently. The objective of each of the classes would be to learn to solve each step independently.

There are multiple benefits from solving the Rubik's cube and it is a fun activity at the same time! Some of the benefits are:

• Improves reflexes & hand-eye coordination
• A sense of achievement and wow feeling

Class curriculum

Session 1 (KNOW YOUR 3X3 CUBE): Being the 1st session, learner/(s) will be introduced to the 3x3 Rubik’s cube. They would be introduced to the pieces, layers, faces etc.

Session 2 (SOLVE THE WHITE CROSS/PLUS): In this session, learner/(s) would be taught white cross with Edge pieces matching the Centre pieces.

Session 3 (SOLVE THE WHITE CORNERS WITH THE BOTTOM LAYER OF EACH FACE MATCHING THE CENTRE PIECE): In this session, learner/(s) would be taught to solve the white Corners with the Bottom layer of each face matching the center piece while holding the cube with the logo on the down side. 

Session 4 (SOLVE THE MIDDLE LAYER): In this session, learner/(s) would practice step 1 & 2 and then would be taught to Solve the Middle Layer. 

Session 5 (SOLVE THE YELLOW CROSS/PLUS): In this session, learner/(s) would practice step 1, 2 & 3 and then would be taught to Solve the Yellow Cross/Plus.

Session 6 (ALIGNING THE YELLOW EDGE PIECES): In this session, learner/(s) would practice steps 1-4 and then would be taught to Align the Yellow Edge Pieces.

Session 7 (MAKE ALL THE CORNERS YELLOW/ COMPLETING THE YELLOW FACE): In this session, learner/(s) would practice steps 1-5 and then would be taught to solve the yellow corners.

Session 8 (COMPLETING THE CUBE): In this session, learner/(s) would practice steps 1-6 and then would be taught to solve the whole cube.
